She is very interested in sound and sonar healing and has been teaching and works in the natural healing area with a very holistic approach involving bodywork, energy balancing and sound healing.
Patricia has researched this in Hawaii using tests of heart and brain rhythm used by "the Heart Math Institute". She found that swimming with dolphins, free diving and deep meditation (experienced in her Flower of Life courses) often brings heart and brain rhytms together in a blissful state called "coherence"
The Dolphin and Kwan Yin Healing modality and Body Reading and Balancing evolved through her as a call to have a simple but effective form of self healing and healing for others and the Earth. She combines the healing energies of Kwan Yin and the powerful pod healing of the dolphin consciousness.
This modality aligns the Endocrine system with the Energy Centres of the body.
This has a deeply balancing effect with strong feelings of well being.
Patricia Athena has been a teacher, a champion marathon runner, coach and Director of the Heart Foundation before living in America where she discovered the healing powers of the Native Americans. She was the founder of the Brightside Holistic Lifestyle Centre on the Sunshine Coast hinterland in Australia.
She has been a therapist, presenter and meditation teacher at the Golden Door Retreat in the Hunter Valley in NSW and has facilitated trips to Hawaii, Greece and within Australia
Patricia has initiated many opportunities to connect with dolphins and whales and has organised conferences and events to share stories and experiences
